Rush Trio

Rush is considered by some one of the greatest rock bands of our time. This Canadian threesome is known for their sophisticated lyrics and meaningful songs. Their career started in 1968, and Rush created their first album called "Rush" in 1974. Geddy Lee the lead singer, has a uniquely high voice and some people think of that negatively, however lots of fans enjoy listening to him sing.

Some of their greatest songs include, "Spirit of the Radio, and Limelight". These two songs were very meaningful, and have wonderful lyrics. Maybe that's why they were both voted song of the year. Without question in my their best album was moving pictures. The album had some humour and was a huge hit. The album includes "Limelight, and Tom Sawyer" some of the greatest rock songs.

Rush is a trio from Canada. All of the band members were on the same flight to the US. On their way Rush practiced over and over again their newest song, "Fly by Night". This was their first album with Neil Peart as their drummer. The trio performed in Toronto were they had all lived. None of the band members had been in any other bands besides Rush. They sang many different genres including rock, pop rock, and even classical rock. Rush sings about; science fiction, fantasy, libertarian philosophy, humanitarian, social, emotional, environmental subjects.

As Rush started, their songs were more about fantasy and science fiction. When they got more experienced they sang about emotion, environmental problems, and making the world a better place. Like one of Rushes songs "Closer to the Heart". The song is about trying to get people in general to work together, and try to make the world a better place. Rush included great music, for example Neil Peart their drummer. Some people think of Peart as the greatest drummer ever. Also Geddy Lee Rushes lead vocals and bass. Another great musician is the Canadian trio's guitarist, Alex Lifeson. The inspiration for Rush is British Blues Rock. As children in Canada they had listened to it, and have created rock music with the same beat and style. Rush influenced other bands like Metalica.

One of the only unusual things about Rush is Geddy Lee's incredibly high pitched voice, but that's what makes their music enjoyable. Since Rush sang "Closer to the Heart" they have started a parade for cleaning up trash and giving out solar panels. This is a very important event and will conserve energy and make the world a better place. However one member would have to leave.Neil Peart had become over emotional after both his wife and his daughter died in a 10 month span. But Rush still plays except this time with a new drummer.

What do you consider meaningful songs and sophisticated lyrics?

As Rush started, their songs were more about fantasy and science fiction. When they got more experienced they sang about emotion, environmental problems, and making the world a better place

you are right. they really did evolve with the subjects of their lyrics.
